Children
In our Children's Ministry, our mission is to help kids find their way to Jesus, connect with others, and contribute to changing the world. We believe that kids have the capacity to walk intimately with God, and we love to see them learn about Him and connect with Him through Bible stories, songs, and crafts.
Your kids are welcome here!
Sunday morning starts with Sunday School at 9:30am. We have several children's classes by age group. Come join us as our loving teachers share Jesus with your children.
Who's Involved?
Every Sunday morning we provide a safe environment for kids from newborns through fifth grade where they can learn about Jesus and connect with each other.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our ministry, and it’s an honor to serve with each and every one of them as they love on kids each week! Every volunteer who leads in the Kids Ministry has had a background check and is committed to making the ministry a safe, Biblically relevant, and fun environment for your kids.
Children's church
Children’s Church for 3 years old (Potty-Trained) through 4th grade is available during the Sunday Morning Worship Service. Children will start out in the Worship Service with their parents and then, before the sermon, they will be dismissed with leaders for Children’s Church, which will be held downstairs.

SHBC kids leadership team
Welcome to SHBC Students! We want to say, “Hi, welcome and hope to see you soon and again.” We are a group of Moms who love Jesus, kids (all kids), others, animals, and serving. We each have a story about Jesus pursuing us as individuals, to talk with us, teach us, and participate in life with us daily. As Jesus followers and Moms, we are enthusiastic to show and teach kids and students about God’s grace through Jesus.
Ms. Becky has been a member of SHBC for most of her life. Ms. Becky and her husband have 4 kids, cats, and dogs. Ms. Becky is a teacher in a local elementary school. She has been part of the children’s ministry team for decades. She is currently the Nursery Team Director and is also passionate about serving the youth. Ms. Becky is an
amazing encourager and planner and loves to serve the community.
Ms. Tiffany has been a member of SHBC since about 2013. Ms. Tiffany and her husband enjoy raising their daughter and spoiling grandkids. Ms. Tiffany works in finance and insurance during the day and has been part of the children’s ministry team since about 2021. She is passionate about young kids and elementary students. Ms.
Tiffany is a committed teacher, who helps and serves every age, and she’s the rock of our team.
Ms. Shannon has been a member of SHBC since about 2016. Ms. Shannon and her husband have 1 daughter, dogs, and a cat. Ms. Shannon is a school nurse for local schools and has been a part of the children’s ministry since about 2017. She is enthusiastic about teaching kids and students about having a daily relationship with Jesus. Ms. Shannon loves kids and is passionate about meeting students’ needs and
serving others.
SHBC Kids motto is “Hearts Transforming”. Only a true daily relationship with Jesus changes a person. Our goal is teaching the Biblical truth and encouraging daily relationship with Jesus.
